How to do hair naturally?

I have wavy/curly hair.

But I straighten it, and have for 3 years. Its damage city!

I guess I have an "emo" hair style.

But I want to grow out all the layers, how can I fix all my damaged hair??

And what are natural styles I can do to my hair to keep from hurting it?

Thanks

How to do hair naturally?

Straightening naturally wavy or curly hair will cause lots of damage, as you already can tell. Don't fight your waves/curls! Go with it! I have very curly hair... here's what I do:

#1 - Use lots of conditioner. Let it really sit in for a few minutes while in the shower. Wavy/Curly hair gets frizzy when it doesn't have enough moisture. Conditioner gives it moisture.

#2 - Use a wide tooth comb, not a brush, on wet hair. Once your hair dries, don't brush it and try not to touch it too much.

#3 - the Method:

After I get out of the shower, I comb my hair and squeeze out the excess water. Then I spread a palm-full of moouse (Tresseme is good) all over - using the comb to work it through, and parting it in the middle b/c that's where my natural part is.

After that I flip my hair ONCE... meaning I bend over letting it hang down for a second and then stand up bringing it back. That sort of creates the curls most naturally - as opposed to "scrunching".

I then take a quarter-sized amount of gel (NOTE: when I go out I use my expensive stuff (ouidad - found on www.ouidad.com), otherwise I use just any kind of ultrahold gel (like Tresseme)).... rub it all oven my palms... and then run it through my hair like I'm putting it back into a loose ponytail. As i approach the ends of my hair, while making the "ponytail", I shake my hair so again, the natural curls/waves fall out. Then I once again flip my hair - just once - to let the rest of my curls fall.

MOST IMPORTANT - let your hair air dry as much as you can. This is obviously easiest in the warmer months where you can sort of style and go and its dry by the time you get to work/school. What I generally do is let my hair air dry as I put on makeup, pick out my clothes and even eat breakfast. I don't dry my hair with a dryer unless i have to because the Blow Dryer is not a wavy/curly-haired-girl's friend.

When you do dry it, either use only a cool or warm setting. Or, when in a rush, use a high hot setting but make sure you move the dryer around alot so that i doesn't concentrate on one area.

Hopefully this works for you. Good luck!!

Don't man handle your hair ( straighten iron, dye.etc), drinks lots of water and sleep early to keep white hair away.

i am nowhere near a hair expert but you need to get micros or something or an up-do or better yet a nice bun and also stop straightening it so much because putting too much heat on your hair can damage it

if you want it to grow then get your hair cut every two months just a trim. and to help with the ends, dont straighten your hair so much just wash your hair and work some mousse in your hair so it keeps the curls and waves in lock without getting too frizzy and crazy
