I suggest just going for it, that's the only way you'll truly see what it looks like! I'm sure it'll be awesome, but if you don't like it then there's plenty of stuff you could do with it. If you don't like how that sounds, there's plenty of websites out their where you can model a hairstyle and get a rough idea if it's the one for you. Hope you like it!

The only way to actually find out is to get your hair cut in that emo style you are looking for. Hair can always grow back, and you will know if it works for you.
