On 'Emo' trend?

"Despite your pseudo-bohemian appearance

And vaguely leftist doctrine of beliefs

You know nothing about art or sex

That you couldn閳ユ獩 read in any trendy New York underground fashion magazine. Prototypical non-conformist..."

(Say Anything; Admit It!)

What has happened to the 'rebels' or todays society?

'Emo' is everything the original emos were trying to get away from: a dress code; a group of people who look the same %26amp; act the same...it was supposed to be a way to express originality. It was intended to let people who were different to look different too. Now it's such a joke. I'm officially boycotting this group-gone-wrong now. The stupid twelve year old wannabees on this site keep on asking questions like "How can i be emo?" and "I want emo hair" !Posers ruin all the fun!

Your thoughts?

On 'Emo' trend?

yes! i completely agree! emo was supposed to be going against what everyone else was doing, not conforming! its just a joke, and there are too many posers so you cant even tell a real emo from a fake one.

On 'Emo' trend?

The whole Emo trend is a joke anyway. Take away all of the things that they obviously copied from the Goth and Punk cultures, and what do you have left? A bunch of stupid bored teenagers with shag haircuts who want to feel cool.

On 'Emo' trend?

I agree. They have no right to do that to us. We started it, and now they are trying to claim it for their own.

Every generation has it's weirdos, it's geeks, it's hippies, it's beatniks, and yes, it's emos. There is always someone who wants to be different, then all of a sudden everyone around them want to be different and they all wind up being the same, and becoming a joke. It's been that way forever, and will continue to be so. My advise, if you want to be different, just be yourself, no one else can do that, only you. Be an individual, and worry not what the weirdos, geeks, hippies, beatniks, or emos are doing.

On 'Emo' trend?

People don't generally like being different , especially when they're young, they just want to fit in. I don't really want to say more as I might depress you...I mean I could say life hasn't the magic that you crave - your poetry is your way of dealing with the banality that is life. There I didn't say it. x
